Super Bowl Party 2009

I decided to have a little Super Bowl party. I hadn't really planned on it, but was reminded that I had hosted MANY football parties during football season and people would probably expect it. (not that I minded though any chance for a party is great!) I didn't have any problems having the party, but I don't really care about the Super Bowl. I am a HUGE fan of college football, and that is where my allegience lies. NFL is good, but I don't watch the games much. When it comes to professional sports, I watch the finals or championships. College football is much more entertaining, and I think that there is more heart in college ball because the players aren't playing for money. (at least until the get drafted) So, I had 14 people come. We had so much food, and a few football enthusiasts. Most just wanted to socialize and some wanted to see the commercials. (although they weren't that great!) We had some kids here (including Dell and Jarrett). My friend DeeJay brought his Wii, and the kids set it up in my office and played that most of the night. Most of us were cheering for Arizona, probably because they were the underdogs, and one person was cheering for the Steelers. It was a great game, and although Arizona lost, we all enjoyed ourselves. I'm glad they all came over. Football RULES!!
This obviously doesn't catch the excitement of the game, but I'm pretty sure this picture was taken before half time. It got really exciting and loud during the 4th quarter, but I was pretty excited and forgot to take pictures...

Jody did a great job watching the game. We only had to remind her a few times that she should be cheering. (heee heee) She finished working on this beautiful afghan, while watching. Good job Jody!

Again, here are DeeJay, Jody and Nathan watching the game. It's pretty early on, so there isn't much excitement. I guess you just have to know them to know how excited they actually are. :)

I thought I'd take a picture of all of the food everyone brought. It was great. The only things not pictured are my homemade french fries, and Nathan made beef stew. Yum. Everything was great!! I ate way too much. Thanks for bringing all of the good food. It was awesome!!

Here are the kids playing the Wii. They had a good time and were kept entertained.

Slumber Party- February 09

This weekend, we had a "Girly" slumber party!! We ate "Girly" food, ( salad pizza, fruit with fruit dips, chocolate fondue -- that actually burned a little, hey it was my first time with this particular fondue pot and I think I had the flame too big or something... anyhoo, we had cookies, chips, basically everykind of yummy food you can imagine. We also did facials and had pedicures. Jody is amazing at this, and by the time we were finished, we had the best looking feet around and the softest faces ever!! THANKS JODY!! Here are some pictures of our night!!
After the pedicures, we stood in a circle. Not as easy as it sounds when you are trying to take a picture. I had to have the girls around me hold me up so I could get a good angle. It was fun!! So fun in fact that I know of several who are completely sold on the decals. Janell even bought some on Saturday after we left. It was so fun, and our feet look AWESOME!!

Jody bought all of us "Valentines Day" Socks. (for afte the pedicure) They are so cute and fun. I'm gonna wear mine on V-Day. Heeee Heeee

My good friend Kriss Jacobson who wasn't afraid to have her picture taken with the green stuff on up close. Don't we look great??

Here we are giving ourselves pedicures... Left to right... Jody, Julie, Janell, Suzie, Kriss, and Kylie. Not pictured are myself and Sherma. Don't we all look beautiful... even with the green on our faces?? What girls go through to look beautiful!!

Tonight I went to Brittney's 5th grade program. She did such a good job. I will post more pictures of it later, but I wanted to show something she made me. I have called her "Noodle" for a long time. She started out as "Brittney Boo", then just "Boo", then "Boodle" and now "Noodle". It has stuck and I don't think it will ever change. She just loves the nickname. I sometimes ask her what my favorite food is, she squeals then yells: "Noodles!", and runs away because then I tickle her. So she handed me a bag full of blocks, and told me to put them together. She made me a set of blocks that says "Noodle". It is so cute, and I just love it. She did a great job, and I can't wait to find a place to put it. THANKS NOODLE!!
Dell, Bittney, Jarrett and me after her concert!

Brittney and I with the blocks she made for me. I just love them!! I can't believe how grown up she is, and so pretty!!
